An Interconnected Emotional System.
Our family therapy services are based on Bowen Family Systems Theory, which views the family as an interconnected emotional system. This approach acknowledges that individual behavior and well-being are profoundly influenced by family relationships and patterns that often extend across generations.
Through a supportive and structured process, we help families identify and understand these patterns, promoting healthier communication, emotional balance, and stronger connections among family members. The goal is not to assign blame, but to increase awareness of how family dynamics shape each person’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Family therapy sessions focus on helping members:
- Improve communication and reduce conflict
- Understand emotional roles and relational patterns.
- Develop healthier boundaries and coping strategies.
- Strengthen problem-solving and emotional regulation skills.
- Foster empathy, respect, and mutual support within the family unit
Using Bowen’s principles of differentiation of self, triangulation, and multigenerational transmission, this service guides families toward greater understanding, stability, and harmony. Together, we work to create lasting change that benefits both the individual and the family as a whole.
Sessions: 45 to 60 minutes.
Couples fees: $120 private pay
